The palaces of bishop and archbishop of Salzburg are located in this square. But the other attractions of the square are no less interesting. You might have noticed a large golden ball to the right of you. Description

Dear friends!
Welcome to Salzburg!
Our audio guide will help you to discover the city that art lovers call Golden City of High Baroque, historians - the Florence of the North, and music lovers - the city of festivals. This is where Mozart was born, and it is here the world-famous Salzburg music festival is held annually.
Salzburg lies on both banks of the Salzach River, in the place where it is surrounded by two mountains - the Kapuzinerberg and the Mönchsberg. It is situated at the foot of the Alps at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The city is located about 300 kilometers from Vienna, 150 kilometers from Munich and just 5 kilometers from the border with Germany. Throughout its 13 centuries-long history, this city has always been strong and rich. "Here is happiness and there is nothing wrong" - it sounds as if it is an advertising slogan.
